# Dynamic background effects for your Yasutsu page

> Replace your background with animated effects like Floating Particles or Neural Noise, add overlays, and add a cursor trail for visitors to your profile.

Background effects replace your profile's solid background color with animated, living visuals. You can layer a noise overlay or decorative overlay on top, and independently configure a cursor trail that follows visitors' mouse movements.

<Note>
  All background features are Premium-only. Access them at **Dashboard → Premium → Background** and **Dashboard → Premium → Trail**.
</Note>

## Background effects

Go to **Dashboard → Premium → Background** and select a value from the **Active Effect** dropdown.

| Effect                 | Description                                                      |
| ---------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **None** | Keeps your solid background color. Premium overlays still apply. |
| **Gradient**           | A smooth two-color gradient fill.                                |
| **Floating Particles** | Small particles drift across the background. |
| **Neural Noise** | Organic, pulsing noise pattern. |
| **Cosmic Plasma Web** | Vibrant plasma tendrils that shift and flow. |
| **Stars Canvas** | A field of twinkling stars. |
| **Starfield** | Stars streaking toward the viewer for a warp-speed look. |
| **Gradient Mesh** | A soft, blended mesh of layered colors. |
| **Gradient Blur** | A blurred, diffused gradient bloom. |

### Effect opacity

Use the **Background Effect Opacity** slider (0–100%) to control how strongly the animated effect appears over your background color.

### Effect-specific color settings

Some effects expose additional color controls:

* **Floating Particles**: **Particle Color 1** and **Particle Color 2** color pickers
* **Stars Canvas**: **Starry Color** color picker

## Overlays

### Noise overlay

Enable **Noise Overlay** to add a subtle film-grain texture over everything. Use the **Opacity** slider (0–100%) to adjust its intensity.

### Background overlay

Use the **Background Overlay Type** dropdown to add a decorative overlay layer. Set it to **None** to disable it.

## Mouse cursor trail

Go to **Dashboard → Premium → Trail** to add an animated trail that follows visitors' cursors on your profile.

**Trail Effect** options:

* **None**: no trail (default)
* **Canvas Cursor**: a smooth painted trail that fades behind the cursor
* Snake Trail: Snakeio inspired cursor trail

### Trail settings

* **Trail Opacity** (0–100%): how opaque the trail appears
* **Random Color** toggle: when enabled, the trail cycles through random colors
* **Custom colors**: when Random Color is off, pick up to two custom trail colors

<Tip>
  Keeping Trail Opacity below 70% tends to look more polished and less distracting for visitors.
</Tip>

## Card element order

Go to **Dashboard → Premium → Edit** to control which elements appear on your profile card and in what order.

You can reorder and toggle the visibility of these six elements:

| Element                   | Description                           |
| ------------------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| **Display Name** | Your name with text effects and badge |
| **Username**              | Your @username handle                 |
| **Location & Occupation** | Where you are and what you do |
| **Discord Widget** | Your linked Discord profile card |
| **Bio**                   | Your description text                 |
| **Socials** | Social media icon links |

Use the up and down controls to change the order, and toggle each element's visibility to show or hide it on your profile.
